Choose and Begin

“When you are in the midst of letting go to make room for the new, it’s not uncommon to find yourself burdened by a barrage of obstacles: the things or people on your path that can slow you down or even keep you away from your goal. Whenever you think about quitting, stop and ask yourself why you started in the first place – you know that compelling reason why you wanted to get moving on to a new chapter of your life. In my experience, feelings of self- doubt and heartache are all part of the new beginning process; as the saying goes, what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger. What I do know is that when you have the courage to take the first step and seek the support of others to help you along the way, you can cover new ground very quickly.

When you start taking bold action towards your dreams it is not always possible or necessary to see the entire path ahead. Once you take that first step you often find that new energy enters and the next steps become so much clearer; with every step you take you will find that you generate more momentum. Whenever you are faced with what seems an overwhelming challenge, resist the urge to back away or procrastinate; break it down into a series of smaller achievable steps and celebrate each step.

The most important part of any project or undertaking is the beginning. What new beginnings are calling you? Your job is to CHOOSE and BEGIN.”
